My Place For Parts Issues

Post by GFORCEAUTO »

I noticed this issue the other day when ordering parts through My Place For Parts Link this issue. When doing an order for parts, if any of the parts in the list don't have a line code from Auto Wares, the MyPlaceForParts system rejects the entire order! It does not do this through Auto com link. Is there something we need to do on our end so that the Manager system will recognize the absence of line codes and pop up a warning? Very frustrating for me in training a new counter person. Seems like the MPFP website should disregard those parts and process the parts that have a line code.
Any thoughts? I have contacted My Place web site guru. He is researching it. I'll update this after he gets back to me.
Summary
6.4.608 version of Manager
Auto Value Company store My Place link
Disregards entire parts order if any part in list has no line code.
Shows in My Place web site as a quote not an order
Does not go through the partnering store as a quote.
Hence no parts get ordered !

We have this happen as well. I didn't know why it was not going thru, but we would be waiting for parts & call & the store never received the order. Luckily I have kept the activant button as well. Until they fix the bugs - going to keep ordering that way.

Go to Configurations -> Vendor Setup -> highlight the vendor record for MPFP catalog button. Click Edit -> Click Setup Link and look at this setting:

I changed mine - will see how it works tomorrow.

The new screens are not as user friends as the old ones.

The screens on the Auto Value ordering - not Mitchell. :? The My Place For Parts, they have changed all the screens. The pictures of the parts are nice, but not as easy to order multiple items, like if you were ordering brake parts, tie rod ends, and a belt. On the activant screen it was easy to click multiple areas, - MPFP - not so much.

I see. I do Tech Expo classes with them I thought these new screens were better. But then again I'm not a daily user.

Tim you are the man! THANK YOU !!
That fixed our issue.
It doesn't even select the parts with no line codes now in the parts ordering window now.

Problem resolved!
