How Does SE Know Non-Inventory Part Sales?

Post by nessauto »

We're trying to keep up on common part numbers for tire sales. I'm wondering how Manager SE picks up that it's a "non Inventory parts sale"?
There are several ways to enter inventory. 1: Enter it as a part directly on the RO. 2: Order it electronically then receive it.3: Manually enter it in the inventory screen, then enter the part number on the RO. Due to some minor difficulties, we can't use the electronic ordering for tires. My question is how does Mitchell pick up the Non Inventory parts sales? I ran a report and I know we entered several new part numbers. It doesn't show any of them in the report? Any help would be appreciated.

Non-inventory parts sales are parts ordered and sold that don't appear in inventory. Don't expect them to show on the Non Stock Parts Purchased report if they exist in inventory. On the other hand, there is the Zero Stocking Level Sales report that looks at inventory with no stocking level. It's easy to mix these up.
