Close PO?
I am a new user and really look closely at controlling inventory. What is the purpose of closing a P.O.

Closing the P.O. adds stocked parts into inventory

Actually, it doesn't. Receiving the parts adds them to inventory. Closing the PO without receiving cancels the order. That's assuming that the parts on the PO are stock parts and not for a particular order.Gary R wrote:Closing the P.O. adds stocked parts into inventory
Think of closing a PO like posting an Invoice. You generally post an Invoice when all actions associated with it are over. You do the same with a PO. Once all the parts are received, you close it.
