Closing P.O.s & QB Intregrator?

Post by oxfordauto »

How does everyone handle PO's? At one point in time, any part ordered through NexPart would automatically transfer to QB through intergrator. That stopped sometime ago and now I have to manually close every PO in order to get them over to QB. Is there any way around this? This is very time consuming in my opinion, I think it would be quicker just to enter every ticket into QB and leave this step out completely BUT I pay for the QB feature every month so it all seems counterproductive. Any insights would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I do not have QB Integrator, but on the Management side it's always best practice to receive your PO's and then close them. Seems to me that if you follow that practice you will get your value out of the integrator. I hand enter the invoices into QB and it can be a PITA sometimes.

Close them and get them out of the way. :D

My problem with the Quickbooks integration is that is uses the date the PO is transferred, not the date on the actual PO.
This is crucial in my invoicing. What is the point in integrating if I have to go back in and update every invoice transferred??

Do you know about our newer Accounting Link interface from The Back Office?

I checked with TBO and here is their response to your question:
"We use the Closed Date on the PO. This is the date it will have on the Vendor Bill in QuickBooks. Please let me know if there is anything more I may do to help."

Just my two cents. I use Accounting Link and found it to be a lot more flexible.

No what is the difference? Is it an additional cost?
Literally my only complaint is that it is using the "closing date" for the vendor invoice.
There are times when I dont receive the invoice for days from my guys, nor do I have time to receive them all.
I dont know why you HAVE to use that date. This is especially stressful at the end of the month, when I dont receive them during the current month.
Then I am going back into Quickbooks and updating all the dates and wasting even more time.

The monthly cost is the same; it works with QB desktop or online and offers more install location options. Link to our Accounting Link page: http://www.mitchell1backoffice.com/
