Set Parts At Cost On Internal Vehicles?

Post by parisautobarn »

Is there an easy way that we can automatically set parts at cost for internal vehicles? I've found a way to set labor to 0 for these jobs but our parts matrix applies to our own vehicles too and I have to manually adjust parts to cost. Thanks

There is no automatic operation for this. Doing so would go inline with multiple matrices; something we have recorded as an enhancement request. For now, it's marked the User Entered Sale box and set the Price = Cost.

Along with this idea, it would be nice (for me) if there was a way in the parts tab, under "account" to get the parts to default to my GL code for "parts at cost" and not the normal "parts revenue (taxable)" for certain customers. I

E: set all employee and Co vehicles to default to GL "parts at cost". then I don't have to do it each and every time a part is added to an RO

I use the report "revenue by GL code" for my EOD. It's all I could find that I could tweak to work with cores here in Michigan

I let the program do what it wants with parts and labor, then apply a special discount that zeroes out the ticket. One click and done. 100% parts and 100% labor.

But we (employees) pay cost, so a simple zeroing out the invoice would not work, well it would be great for us, but not so much for owner.

Ah yes. I missed the employee reference. That's a manual affair for now. If and when they implement a cost plus pricing matrix, that'd work well.
