Transferred Items Not Removing From Inventory?

In our first store we have inventory set up. The minimum, maximum, on-hand, cost, user price, vendor, etc....
and every time I transfer a part in from a weblink, it finds that part number in inventory and loads the inventory item onto the RO. When this happens the price adjusts to the user set price, instead of matrix, and it also removes it from inventory.

The next morning, we can auto replenish all inventory. SO, Everything appears to work 100% as it should.

In our second store, we have everything set up correctly (to the best I can tell), but it does not take inventory into consideration when transferring in a part. I have to physically type the part number to transfer from inventory, and it does not work on the transfer.

I spent some time on the phone with tech support but they were not able to help, and recommended I come here.

Is there a setting I am missing?

It sounds to me like the first location has the Setup - Shop Data - Default Settings > Check for Substitute Parts box checked (below) and your second location doesn't.

In the first instance (box checked), it sees that you have the part in your inventory; when you select to use that inventory part, it uses the pricing of the inventory record (matrix or User Entered Sale Price in this case).

In the second instance (box unchecked), it doesn't reference your inventory and just uses the catalog part (fed to Markup Matrix) instead.

If you want to grab parts from inventory that may have a different line code, you're going to want to select this box.

I did figure something out!

it was the line code was not the same from the first store to second store. Even though they are the same company, brand, and part number

the line code was the problem, but that box was also not checked.

I think ill go back and update all line codes and check that box.

If that box had been checked, it wouldn't have mattered if the line codes were the same. Glad you got it figured out.
