Shop parts as Vendor

Post by ShopManTim »

Is it possible when I look up a part that the inventory in our shop can be seen? Example: I need an oil filter for a 2006 Ford F450 with a diesel. Among the vendor options I can at the same time see if we have it in stock here at the shop?

Hey ShopManTim, currently there is no way to filter off YMM in inventory. If you are adding the part from a vendors catalog and you have a matching part in stock in your inventory, when you "order parts" the line items will be Green.
Here is an example for the 2006 Ford F450 Diesel

Would be nice.....

It's up to the individual designers of all the different protocols. I believe that many years ago there was a protocol that turned a listing green while still in the catalog if it matched both part number and line code with Manager inventory. It was very handy but sadly they are gone.

That was Activant's ShopCAT DVD as I recall.
