Pulling Invoice numbers

Post by Bestauto4588 »

Okay. Let me start by saying I am VERY shiny and new to this program , Teamworks (manager 6.4 with inventory).
Since 1996, My shop has been perfectly happy running DOS based PACE 5.5.
Just to give you an idea of where I am with this whole transistion LOL.

My question is. When parts ordering with the integrated catalogs, is there any way that the jobber invoice number is automatically entered into the REF/INV# field of the invoice?
I notice its the only thing that the program doesn't bring over into the invoice. This happens on all catalogs (carquest, nexpart, napa). It sure would be nice if I didn't have to worry about going back in to enter this after parts delivery.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP.

Welcome to the Forum and to the program.

The PO process does not bring vendor invoice number into that part record automatically. We've discussed this here before as it seems a logical thing to do. I'm sure it's on the enhancement list and likely will be tackled when Mitchell can get to it(I hope). I'm sure others will share what they do in this regard. I leave it blank usually.

Welcome to the forum and it is on the enhancement request list.

When you receive parts, you should be able to enter it on the PO screen and have it copy into all part records on effected orders. I am personally lobbying for this approach.
