fuse and relay legends

Post by gbaileyauto »

I can't find the fuse box and relay legends for the car I am working on.
2006 passat 2.0 value edition.
I have tried everything I can think of to find them.
Please someone help.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your question.

I took a look in Components and Service panel and probably found the same thing you did; several shots of fuse panels, no ID of the individual items. No labels on the fuse panel cover(s) or under dash?

This forum is not monitored by Product Content support and I'd recommend contacting them ASAP either by phone (888-724-6742 follow prompts) or use this link to send them an email: http://www.buymitchell1.com/form/productsupport.htm

Which box? Underhood or dash?

You know you can call Mitchell for things that aren't in the system and they'll fax it to you.

I am looking for the 109 relay currently... (relay panel under the dash)
However with how often we work on volkswagons I am sure I will need the ids later.
Btw...no, there aren't any id cards on the covers for the fuse boxes

I'm not seeing a 109 relay. What does it run?

Not completely sure....
I have a 001314 code and can't really find much information on it.
Someone on a post somewhere said check the 109 relay.
The code has to do with ecm communication.
I figure it is the ecm power relay or something to that effect.

That code does not match any of the normal protocols. Most OEM codes start with 16xxx, 17xxx or 18xxx. OBD codes start with P. What is the descriptor? What kind of scan tool are you using?

Is it a hard code or intermittent? There was an issue on some of these with wires breaking near the ecm and interupting power. May cause a no start if hard code. If it were me I'd be checking powers and grounds at the ECM first. You're likely losing power to it occasionally.

I will checking to that. Thank you.
The issue is very intermittent.
The vehicle keeps cutting out and or dying.
This is the first time we have been able to get it to set a code.
