Add Parts List To Maintenance Schedules

Post by autolab400 »

I've recently upgraded to Mitchell from Activant (Epicor) Service Writer. What I've noticed is that when you are trying to quote a job for scheduled maintenance, I am able to easily see the amount of labor that is quoted for the job, however, the inspection items and replacement items are left off the invoice. I find this terribly frustrating as I need to be able to justify to my customer WHY the 105,000 mile service for their 2005 Subaru Outback 2.5L costs $900 but I can't tell him which components are being replaced at that time.

I purchased this program with the thought (and reassurance) that it would make my life easier, however, it appears that I have to do a whole bunch of other work in order to quote jobs accurately.

Please resolve this!

Thank you,

Sherman Riddick

I can't compare to other programs since I've been using Mitchell long enough that I don't really remember. Having said that, when I want to quote on a mileage maintenance schedule I open the 30/60/90 option and click on the mileage. Transfer all the information to the order and check my vendors for the best price / quality.
never argue with a fool, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

If you are talking about the service details, you need to click on the Details button to add that info..
