Server crash on Mitchell1?

Post by MarionB2BAuto »

I have tried to call tech support but the lines are all busy. About 10 minutes ago I lost access to both the repair section and estimator section. I cna run my shop management fine, but when trying to check for repair info, or going to the estimator I always get "Information for this vehicle is not available" no matter what vehicle I use, or even if building a new one. anyone else having same issue? HELP!

OK, well at least we know it is something on the Mitchell side, and not my side. I have tried to call tech support, but since the phones are constantly busy, I am assuming they already know. lol.

We had a similar situation before lunch. Looks like we're back in, though.

Apologies folks, we are swamped with emails and calls on the outage.

This was posted internally at Mitchell 1:

"We are still experiencing Internet access issues. The I.T. Support team is currently correcting the problem and we expect to be operational in approximately 30 minutes. As we have additional information I will forward it."

Internal memo we saw at Mitchell 1 today:

"Yesterday we had a network outage that interrupted service on our products that depend on internet connections for about 45 minutes. Customers may have been impacted for as long as two hours following the outage. We've identified the issues that caused the interruption of service and are taking measures to lessen the impact of such outages in the future. Be sure to thank our customers for their patience during the down time. We know that, even though our network up-time exceeds 99.9%, any disruption of service can impact our customers’ businesses. And thanks to our support teams for getting us through the higher volume of calls during that period."
