How do I get the new equipment needed for EMV? It's almost October and I haven't heard or seen anything from them?

I am told they've sent numerous emails, spam folder maybe? You can call customer service at 888-412-8816 to order the new equipment.

Got it! They're so busy :D FYI There's 2 models that work w/X Charge - Ingenico IPP320@ $249 or ISC250 w/signature capture @ $499.

I received my new equipment from X-Charge (ipp320 x 2) and when X-Charge Tech support tried to install on my computers, they informed me they are waiting on some kind of password from Mitchell 1 for EMV. X-Charge was unable to install the new equipment and I was told to wait until Mitchell 1 provides them that password. Does this make sense? Has anyone else had this problem? When will I be able to install the new equipment I purchased?

From HQ:

"The tech support person misspoke; he was referencing emv compliance but was unaware of the fact that all Mitchell 1 customers are emv compliant with the proper hardware. There is no need for a special password, the hardware should be plug in and go."

I called X-Charge this morning to have my IPP-320 units installed and once again, their tech informed me that he could upgrade me to their 8.1 version and install my hardware BUT I will have to deal with entering a password for every card transaction, EMV or not.

I let this technician know that according to Mitchell 1, the new units should be plug and play. The tech's response at that point was basically, let's do the install and see what happens.

I opted to not perform the update/installation and go to the forum for a definitive answer.

If I perform this X-Charge 8.1 update and install my IPP-320 units onto my Windows 10 Mitchell 1 v6.6.10 computers, will I need to enter a password for each card transaction?

Here is the situation...

If you install that equipment NOW, you would be required to enter a password for each transaction. The current software for the new equipment was going to require a new password every 90 days to be in compliance. The issue was that it would NOT PROMPT USERS when this time came; this would translate into hundreds of additional calls to Mitchell 1 product tech support and product management opted not to take that route.

We are waiting for an API to be written that DOES PROMPT USERS for the 90 day password change required to be compliant. I was not given a timeframe for this but it is a serious matter getting full attention on our side. Their tech support is not aware of the full dynamics of the situation going on above their heads and will say that it is up to Mitchell 1 and that simply is not the case.

You are in compliance by having the hardware on site; I'm told the liability protection is in force even though you are not using it at this time.

Please know that I will post something here just as soon as the situation changes.

The Manager SE 7.0.2 release had added the required fields for users to update passwords every 90 days to be in compliance:
