Not sure if this applies in your case but with the Fords if diesel is wanted, you have to specify F350 Super Duty. Perhaps you are doing this. I brought it up with my system.

when you are picking the engine. go over to the right. (green arrow) find the lil black arrow scroll thing. then scroll down the menu to the 6.0.

I don't know why there are so many of the same engine listed. there are 5 listed all with the P code? this was very confusing for me too

4x5.4 (5) motors
5x 6.0 (P) motors

I have wondered the same thing. Why so many duplicates? I just figured I was missing something.

i think that it's a shot gun approach. they use all available to insure it's there. one some applications the litre will be the same but there are significant differences in the block that is only noted by the vin. if within the manufacturer application for that particular year and model there are 10 applications that have the same engine you'll see all 10. many are the same but on some there are differences. i scan all applications because some will have turbo and others not with the same vin. it mat seem tedious but it's only the first time and takes a few extra seconds.
never argue with a fool, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

She's running 5.9 and it is handled differently in 6.4.

This multiplexing effect (trucks & vans mostly) is because the engine appears in numerous sub-models, part of F150, part of F250, part of F350, etc. Another thing to watch for in 5.9 is where a 6 cyl engine is sitting at the bottom of the list below the V8 choices.

It's getting better. :|
