Print "Quick Reports" From Mobile

Post by Cory »

I would like to be able to print "Quick Vehicle" from the mobile device. When we are in the parking lot checking in vehicles it would be so nice to have the tech worksheet ready on the printer when we walk in.

Thanks for the idea.
Let me under stand what you are asking for. You have Mobile Manager and you are still printing tech worksheets? Why?

The tech can work more efficiently with the tablets AND you don't have to copy anything back into the management system.

When write up is complete. Send a chat message to the tech, he gets to work on his tablet. Done.

In our experience, there is no good way to organize the tech's day with the mobile tablet. Looking at it, they don't know which vehicle to work on first. When we print tech worksheets, we are able to organize their day more efficiently. Sending a chat message seems like things can get overlooked too much. It would be better if the tech could see from their tablet, which vehicle are here and are assigned to them, and which ones need to be done first.

Hello again.

Each tablet can be set up to show the tech assigned to the tablet only the jobs assigned to them in the WIP.
You can also display the jobs in a variety of orders.

On the WIP screen go to the upper right three dot menu and tap. Choose display from the menu. In the window that opens at the bottom, filter by tech to show only his jobs. (Be sure that the tech is already the User of the tablet. Upper left Mobile Manager drop down menu, first selection User.)

ALso in the display screen you can Sort By any of the items that works for you. Such as Promised Date which does look at clock time in addition to the day and forces jobs that are due earlier to the top of the list. Status can be used if you set up the status that work for you in Mitchell such as Wait, priority and so on.

I will put the request into our development list.

Also look out for a big change in WorkFlow Manager later this year, it may solve your dispatching issues.
