Cursor Position Suggestion

Post by ricmorin »

When opening an order in Mobile Manager, the cursor goes to the beginning of the mileage field whether that field is zero or has data in it already. Our workflow has the technician enter the beginning mileage. It would be nice and a step saver if the cursor either highlighted the entire value or landed at the end. That way the technician can simply tap and enter, instead of tapping at the end, hitting delete and entering the correct value. The other alternative is tap and hold, which works but takes a few seconds more.

Thanks. A good suggestion. I know exactly what you are talking about.
I will put in a request for a change. I will monitor the request and keep you up dated.

Thanks Ric!!! One of my techs just quit on Friday and I found this super annoying when I started working in the shop again. It's one of those things I forgot about a few minutes later though. +1 for this request

Speaking of cursor positions, when entering a part the cursor goes to the description field. I think that most techs would be entering parts on their tablets either by part number or scanning. Shouldn't the cursor start at the part number field?
