Enhancement Request - Tread Depth

Post by Cory »

It would be cool if there was a dedicate inspection line for tire tread depth.

I'm thinking a popup that would ask depth on lf rf rr lr, then record it properly. I know we could create a separate line for each tire, but something like this would save a lot of time.

We created separate "notes" section for inspections it's part of our State Inspection job (in PA we have to capture the brake specs, tread depths, Inspection sticker # as well as the Emissions sticker #) all manually typed in:

BRAKE SPECS F8/32B R6/32B
TIRES LF 5 RF 5 LR 5 RR 5
STICKER #AI#-######## MM/YY
EMISSION #IM#-####### MM/YY

I created a note like this.

******************************************
TIRE TREAD DEPTH
LF: /32 RF: /32

LR: /32 RR: /32
******************************************

As suggest by the other folks here. You can basically build any tire inspection you want.
Building in the /32 where you just input the actual measurement works.

One way I handled it is:
Anything above 6/32 is Green
5/32 to 4/32 Yellow
3/32 and down Red

This helps in limiting the suggested responses from the tech. But in State inspection you always want to input the actual readings.
