Fixed: Require/Add Technician Name to Inspections

Currently, Mobile Manager adds the technician name to a new inspection only when there is a default technician in Mitchell. Otherwise, the technician field for an inspection is blank. We often forget to put our name in there. We'll likely get better as time goes on, but it seems to me that the tablet could help us a bit.

There are two ways I can see this happening. One way is to use the assigned technician to the tablet. If I'm assigned then my name automatically appears when I start a new inspection. Another way is to add a rule that requires a name before an inspection can be completed. Either way would ensure a name gets associated with an inspection. I think that this association is important for future reference.

Ric, I do agree that would be a nice feature and support it 100%. What we do is to assigned the tech on the WIP screen under the "Labor Tech" column and that way all labor items within the repair order get assign to that tech automatically. That way when they tech does an inspection he doesn't even have to think about it. The only hiccup is if he repairs on a particular order are being done by two different techs. Then the SW has to make sure to go in manually and change whichever labor items the other tech did do. In almost 90% of the time this will work fine.

Agreed. We have a higher incidence of multiple techs per RO due our procedures, so it's not a viable option for us.
