Any update on this one?

I also noticed the first cell phone # listed is used regardless of which is checked...there could be multiple cell phone numbers listed but the one checked is SUPPOSED to be the one called.

Message Manager uses the phone numbers listed in Settings-Shop Management to text. It looks at the top field first then to the next field down on the settings page. These selections are universal for all customers.

In Mitchel the phone list, the check fields choose the numbers that you want to display in the customer tab in Mitchell and nothing else, this being there is only two to be displayed in the customer tab.

Waiting on the answer of adding the note field in Message Manager.

I will add another request for this as well. I was very happy when Mitchell gave us the space to put a name next to the number. I can't get over how many different phone numbers one person has....as well as how many people we can end up with on one account. Wife, husband, kids.....

You are correct, with regard to the the checked numbers are the one's that we want to be displayed. Why would we want those to be displayed? They are the numbers to call to contact the customer on for that service. I would think that those checked phone numbers would be the first one's displayed in Message Manager as well.

Why is this taking so long? If you already pick up the extension field I would think the developer would need to adjust the pointer to the Notes/Name field and that's it.

As a side note, the checked field handling would be a nice addition.

The delay is the result of us in the process of balancing the development of new features, rewriting some older features and hundreds of requests every month for new features not to mention regular up dating to keep our software working with windows and management system updates. All suggestions I get are entered in the Que then weighed against the other goings on for development. Sorry to say it takes time.

I did repeat the suggestion for looking at the "newer" Mitchell phone fields and including them.

Remember also that on the Quick Message window under Switch Phone Number" you have access to all phone numbers listed for the customer in addtion to manually entering one if needed.

Yes, why so many phone numbers? I remember (Dating myself here) a customer giving me 5 phone numbers-two were pagers-and I stilll could not reach him. He called later and gave me grief over the fact I never reached him!!!! :shock:

Agreed. Just impossible to tell which phone number are which with the current implementation if you updated the fields as designed in Mitchell.

This a great enhancement. Most businesses thrive when they never stop improving. In that light, how about access to the 'drivers' phone numbers? We often have fleets where the driver is the one to be notified. Most are too large to put all the drivers in the standard phone list. Consider this a request. :)
