Text to Pay Signature

So far Text to Pay is pretty cool. One thing we discovered is that when the customer signs for their payment, the signature is transferred to the Invoice. That does indeed happen, however, the date and time do not update. There is a date and time down in the payment section, but the signature date and time are from the original sign-in. Here is our work flow.....

Customer comes in and we go over what is to be done electronically via a tablet. With everything ok, they sign the tablet to create the original authorization. If a loaner car is given, this original signature is for that as well. Since we want to preserve this original signature, we save a pdf copy of this RO knowing it will get overwritten by the payment signature. When the work is done, the payment signature from Text to Pay overwrites the original authorization signature, but not the date and time.

I'm ok with this overwriting, but it should do both the signature and the date/time. Having the wrong date and time may spell trouble if a dispute every broke out.

By the way, the people at 360 Payments swore up and down that the payment signature did not overwrite any existing signatures. Good thing I didn't believe them, but someone from Bolt-On should set them straight.

Also, the same thing happens when a payment is processed via the terminal. The date does not update.

It would save me some work if there was a separate payment signature aside from the original authorization signature, all on the same invoice. Please consider it.
