Reports Pro Security

Post by Joe Slomka »

Is there any way to require a password for specific areas of the reports? Such as allowing access to the custom invoices and inspection sheets but not the sales reports.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for reaching out to us. At this time, there isn’t a way to require a password for specific reports. It may be possible in the future, but not right now. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Please let us know if you need anything else. Thank you.

I want to add a 1+ to this topic as well.

There are too many of the reports that I really wouldn't want my employees to have access to.

Agreed. As I'm looking to finally hire a SA, I'd like to hide some of those reports

Thanks for checking in and suggesting this.

I just added few more votes on the development of this request in our "Feature Request" system for future consideration as we continue to move Report Pro forward.

We are "NEW" to the Mobil Manager and find that the security is not even close to what we would expect. A user should have a password to log in and that should be all inclusive to what that user can or cannot use. Reports, email sending, customer screen, adding or subtracting labor lines, parts ect. Security is number one! Don't allow a tech or a service adviser the ability to sacrifice all your hard work to get YOUR customer to YOUR shop! :!:

Mitchell Security functions control Mitchell.
Currently our security functions are found in Report Pro. They can be found under Settings-Admin Settings. To set up, create a alpha numeric code, select what items you wish to limit access to and click save. You will see that many of the Reports now require the password to view in addition to all of the other items you wish to lock down.
If there are additional items you would like to lock down, please provide a list of those items and I will submit them for possible development.
