Printing Schedule?
Looking for assistance/options with printing the schedule. The format of the old schedule was ideal, a single line for each appointment. Since the new scheduler we've had to revert to printing the schedule via Reports -> Scheduled Events then enter the date range then selecting print then going into the printer properties and printing 2 pages per sheet. While this still does not print a single line per appointment it's somewhat workable. The issue is that Shop Events are "mingled" in with Scheduled Events or appointments. Questions:
1. Is there a report or some way that we can print the schedule in the old format, e.g. one line per appointment or Scheduled Event
2. If the answer to #1 is no then is there a way to sort the list by 1st Scheduled Events then Shop Events?

Re: Printing Schedule?
Just looking for today's schedule printed one line per vehicle/job, otherwise your printout looks like it may work.

Just to elaborate...Johnny5 wrote:How about something like this?
We would just be looking for a report for a single day (therefore "date" could be dropped from the line item since date would be in the header), customer name, vehicle, category & comments.
Again, this would be one line as you have it for each job for the day.

Exit Manager and run this file. http://www.m1faqs.com/fix/SE/ScheduleReports.exe Afterwards, you should find 3 Schedule reports under the Management tab that should help straighten things out. Two new reports that appear will provide I believe what you require.

Ran the file, opened up Mitchell reports and it was not under there. I also disabled my firewall and re-started my computer. What did I do wrong?
Re: Printing Schedule?
It is important to note that file must be run on the host machine as well as any station that might be running the reports (even if you don't normally use the host as a station).

Re: Printing Schedule?
Is there anyway that you can get the vehicle listed on the schedule printout? The Vin & License plate would be nice also.. But Definitely the vehicle YMM would be nice.
Thanks,

Re: Printing Schedule?
ARS,
The vehicle information is available on the normal Scheduled Events report.

Re: Printing Schedule?
The YMM is now included in the "Scheduled Events - by Technician" , see line #69 at http://www.m1faqs.com/fix/SE/index.htm - run that file first on your server, then run it at each workstation. The software must be closed when you run this. Once run, look for new schedule reports under the Management tab.

Re: Printing Schedule?
Thank you for your efforts and the new/enhanced reports. What's the LOE on making them portrait vs. landscape or is this something we can do on our own?

Re: Printing Schedule?
I would have to change it to portrait. Converting to that format would require a much smaller font.

Re: Printing Schedule?
Currently, we use the Scheduled Events Report however there's some hoop jumping in that we need to: set the date, click print, click properties, click finishing, select "2" from the pages per sheet, click OK, change the number of copies then click OK. The report is fine albeit a bit more info than is needed. Ideally we would prefer to use the Scheduled Events Summary report if it were in Portrait. To compensate for reducing the font size the following fields could be dropped from the report: Order Hours, Job Hours, Category, and Appt Status. In addition, the date is bold but under that on each line is dated...this date could be dropped as well, just leave the date in bold. If the job hours is opened for user input at some point it would be nice to have that added to the report.Johnny5 wrote:I would have to change it to portrait. I realize this may be specific to our shop but it would be helpful.
