Promos

Post by lanwer »

We are trying to use the scheduler and when we want to add an oil service, tires, and inspection (which we have all in promos) we can not transfer them over. Any ideas?

Hello and Welcome to the Forum,

When you're in the schedule, you're creating an appointment. There is canned job support on the appointment window because of the speed at which they can be added. However, bear in mind you're not building the complete order on the appointment window. That's why you can't add individual parts, labor lines, or promos/packages.

This is exactly the problem we have here. If you are on the phone with the customer to schedule an appointment you can type MUCH faster and capture what the customer is saying rather than trying to figure out what jobs are canned and what is not. Typing lof, rot, tune-up, as an example, is much quicker than finding the canned job vs. promotions. In addition, you should be able to MANUALLY set the hours for the job in schedule, after all you're not building the whole job you are just scheduling therefore it should be an estimated time to block off in the schedule.

That's the difference between Order hours and Schedule hours. You can set the Schedule hours to anything you want. Order hours comes from a linked Order. You can set the hours for a scheduled item manually.
