Time In For A Vehicle

Post by GUTHTIRE »

I've asked this in the past however it may not have a been clearly stated. When the vehicle comes in for service is there a way to print the date/time-in on the RO?
Scenario:
Customer calls today and wants to schedule a LOF for tomorrow at 7:00 A.M. Therefore a entry is created on the schedule for an LOF at 7:00 A.M. tomorrow. Tomorrow arrives and the customer comes in @ 7:30 A.M. If you double-click on the 7:00 A.M. entry in the scheduler then select Create -> New Repair Order then enter the oil change, filter, etc. When you print the RO it shows Schedule: 7:00 AM and nowhere do we see the actual time-in. In the case of a waiter that happened to be on the schedule the ONLY time that matters is TIME-IN. In this case the time that the RO was created.

Is there something in the configuration that I've missed? Perhaps another form that we should be using?

If you have ROs set to be considered printed and approved by default, the RO could be changed to include the timein.

Are you saying the RO "could" be changed to include time-in, or the time-in is on the RO? This should be automatic, done by the system.

OK, if it "could" be changed what would it take to "make" the change? Is it something that could be added and it so, soon?
