Database security, storage and backup info.

Post by M1EnterpriseTech »

Can you please provide information regarding the back up and storage of our data, including details regarding data encryption, virus protection, data security and access controls to prevent unauthorized access to our data?

See the information below regarding the security of the company servers and your data:
  • All Shop Management communication from the shops computers to the server is SSL Encrypted via TLS 1.2
  • Data is stored in an offsite secured data center with strict access control. The servers are in the same collocation spaces as top Canadian Banks.
  • The servers that provide service for the customer is physically separated from the companies network, and only technical staff that service customer data software/hardware are allowed access.
  • The network infrastructure protection and intrusion protection in the data center is handled by a redundant firewall (UTM)
  • All databases stored on the server with RAID to protect against certain level of hard drive failure
  • Backup includes nightly backup to dedicated hardware that resides within the data center and weekly offsite backup rotations.
