Block Incoming Spam Texts?

Post by Rich »

We have been getting daily (one per day) text messages to our M1 text message center. It has no name, no company, When I open the text it does have a phone number (877-721-2567). How do we go about blocking these numbers?

Hey Rich,

If those messages are coming from an automatic service adhering to SMS industry standards reply simply with: STOP

All uppercase, no other words. If the messages are actually being written organically by someone, there is no way to block them.

Ok,

But then my issue is....when I open the text there is no way to respond (that i can find) until I add them as a customer. Maybe add them and name them "spam"??

Yes, you need to associate that number with a database record somehow to be able to interact. Spam sounds good for now.
