Can't set Definitions importing inventory from spreadsheet?

I am importing inventory part numbers using an Excel Spreadsheet but it will not let me set Definitions from the spreadsheet, why?
Inventory imports are limited to what information can be imported. Definitions are not an import feature and must be done manually.
Use the Batch Update feature to set Definitions.
NOTE: You may need to do this for other inventory setup entries as well
