SA TIP: Require VIN?

Post by DARRAH »

Is there a method for requiring that the vehicle's VIN be entered prior to invoicing?

I don't think there are any settings in Manager that will prevent you from invoicing an order without a VIN. Interesting thought. I take it you have issues with missing information? Most of this can be handled in house with a little diligence. I have a canned job called 'Info Entry'. It gets added to every new car we see by the SA. Techs then fill out the missing entries. It works well and we ALWAYS have the VIN at the ready.

Now thats a good idea. I've always did it by word of mouth. Yours is a much better idea. Gonna try it Ric.
