Nexpart Tires

Post by JPReilly »

Not sure if this is something that can be fixed on your guys end or Nexpart end. With there new tire catalog when you transfer tires or it does not label them as a tire for the pricing matrix. It also does not create a PO or turn blue when you order tires.

Hello,

The tire designation is definitely something they have to set on their end. The lack of a PO and coloring is curious though. Tire or not, the PO creation and coloring process should not change in Manager.

Could you provide a little more info on this? Is this through Nexpart Enhanced, or Nexpart Multiseller? Who is the supplier? USAF? Or someone else? Also, are you placing the order direct in the catalog, or transferring and ordering in Manager?

We are ordering from Nexpart Multiseller through Manager. Doesn't matter what tire vendor within Nexpart. We use NTW, ATD and TRWholesale. I did notice that it creates a PO that shows up if I click on the PO button up top but does not show up if I click on the View PO button at the bottom of the order. So it creates a PO just not linked to an order. I don't have any open orders with tires on them but I will grab some screenshots on the next one.

Ok. Here are some tires we ordered today. You can see that they do not turn blue when ordered. And do not show up in the POs from the Order screen. But do show up in the list of all POs. You can see the PO directly below ref Street it was ordered from the same Repair order. Not sure why it says "Restock"?

Thanks for the additional information on this one. We're making progress I think.

A followup question on this if you or the SA that placed the order recall - were those brake pads and tires ordered in the same transaction? I see from the time stamps there were at least very close, but there might be an issue where the second order returned from the vendor (due to different suppliers) is not associated to the repair order.

On that particular order they were all ordered at the same time. And the order did go through to both places. But it acts the same way if the tires are ordered independently.

Thanks for raising this concern regarding Nexpart Tire and the PO Number not turning blue or being returned when the Tires are transferred into Mitchell. These issues have been resolved. Please see the attached screenshots of a completed order as a reference.

If you encounter any further issues or have additional questions, don’t hesitate to reach out within this thread or contact us at (914)697-9400.

We’d like to take a moment to clarify the order process and address a few common questions for our Nexpart Tire user community

Nexpart Tire is offered exclusively through Nexpart Multi-Seller.

If you locate tires within Multi-Seller and transfer them into Mitchell, a Price Check will redirect you back to the Multi-Seller cart to complete the order.
Once the order is placed through Multi-Seller, the purchase orders will be submitted individually to all Part and Tire Sellers included within the Cart.
Both parts and tires can then be transferred back into Mitchell as part of the completed order.

Separate issue related to Nexpart Tires. I spoke to someone there about it but will share the screen shot here also. When we transfer tires to Manager it does not categorize them as a tire. The circled box should be checked so that the system applies the tire pricing matrix and adds disposal fees.

Hello and thanks for this info!
Good News: Our Nexpart development team was already aware of these two issues and working towards a resolution.

1) Can we pass the Tire Size (in the comments)
2) Can we pass anything that identifies the "type" as a Tire not part.

They are reviewing the integration specs and we should have an answer back soon. I'll post with an update as soon as i learn more.

THANKS for the feedback and Thanks for being the best part of Nexpart!

This issue is for the most part fixed. When you price tires and transfer them into Mitchell it marks it as a tire. BUT.... If you order the tire through Nexpart and transfer them at the same time it does not mark it as a tire.

The checking of the Tire checkbox automatically is part of the catalog integration between Nexpart and Manager SE.
Nexpart natively (outside of Manager SE integration) has no need for this feature.

I was aware of that. But I was in direct contact with WHI/Nexpart on this issue and he asked if I found any additional problems to post them here so he would see. Definitely not a big deal since we rarely order tires without pricing them to the customer first. But wanted them to know that the issue was not 100% fixed
