1968 Dodge Dart Disc Brake Conversion

Post by midgetbigfoot »

68 Dodge dart 383

Customer installed front disk brakes off a 72 Duster. Said it has new master cylinder but it won't bleed out. I adjusted the rear drums and bleed system. It won't hold pressure. Can I use an O.E. master cylinder or not and what about the proportioning valve? We have done retrofits before. but of course just used a kit.

Any thoughts would be Great. Thanks

Obviously the calipers take more to work than the wheel cylinders did. he install a master off of a Duster or a Dart. I know if you change over using salvage yard parts the master needs to be updated and in fact the line attachment on the master may need to be reversed to match chamber feeds.
never argue with a fool, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
