2009 Dodge Grand Caravan Electrical Draw

Post by Tim Martin »

The vehicle is a 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan with a 3.8L engine, front wheel drive only, auto trans and 98,000 miles on it. The problem is an electrical draw that will discharge the battery in less than a week if it is not run. My questions, and I raise it because I have not found the answer anywhere yet is "On this vehicle, what should the normal amp draw be after sitting for, say, 5 hours?"

Most manufacturers do not publish that information; some do. Rule of thumb is 50 milliamps.

I agree 50 milliamps after that time.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
