Vehicle throws belt on tight turns or u turns. Common issue?

if releif valve is stuck the pump will stall causing belt to jump. if pump is original look for debris causing sticking valve. it's fairly easy to test. have someone spin steering wheel all the way and rev the gas a bit. if valve is stuck closed it will stall the pump and belt will jump off. a loose belt will jump off but i'm assuming that's been checked.
