2007 Chrysler Sebring Fuel Pump Wiring

Post by MarionB2BAuto »

I can't believe this is so difficult for me. I have looked through Mitchell1, as well as OnDemand, and I can't find what SPECIFIC fuse in the Totally integrated Power Module is used for the fuel pump. I am trying to find out if I have power going to the fuel pump, since I have zero fuel pressure. Every schematic and indicator does not show which fuse is the one that powers the fuel pump. I can't believe this is so difficult. Can ANYONE out there help me??

First of all what engine? I believe on this one it is controlled through the TIPM and no separate fuse.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Oh crap, sorry, I forgot to include. It is the 2.4. Even if it is controlled by the TIPM, shouldn't it have a circuit protection in case of a fault? Either way, how does one go about checking the circuit? I guess removing the fuel pump access cover I could connect a test light, but I had hoped a fues would be easier to access.

Not on a TIPM equipped vehicle. Might be easier to check the TIPM fuel pump output wire. Should be connector 7, terminal 11 a dark blue with orange tracer wire. There is no fuse or relay that can be checked to my knowledge. It's all part of the electronics within the TIPM. I believe it is protected by a circuit breaker in there, just no access.

How silly, I have been so worried about the voltage supply side that I didn't look at the fuel pump module. After pulling the back seat and removing the electrical connector, I found that the power terminal had melted, and the terminal on the module itself pulled out. So I will be pricing out a fuel pump module, as well as the electrical connector. Thanks for the help.

LOL. I do that sometimes....over-complicate something before I check the basics. I'm getting better, though.
