Hello we have a 2008 chrysler town and country that came in with a customer complaint of all the lights on dash came on and then smoke rolled out from behind dash. we removed the lower dash area and found pcm harness was melted and computer is chared. found coolant running down harness and caused the short. we are wondering if this is a common problem? we have yet to remove the dash to trace coolant leak but we will post our findings. thank you for reading.

I have not seen it but maybe others have. I've repaired the harness connectors from acid damage under the battery tray.

Maybe others will chime in.

Reminds me of the vehicles I've seen with bad coolant temp sensors that allowed coolant to travel up inside the wire insulation.
