1997 Ford Crown Vic - Delayed, Hard 1-2 Shift FIXED

Morning gentlemen, have an issue with my personal car.
1st to 2nd shift is very hard and delayed. All other gears shift perfect. Car has 150k and very well maintained, trans flushed twice and filter at 100k. I read a tsb on replacing 1-2 accumulator. Factory has a alum piston with o-ring seals. Fix is to replace with steel piston with molded seals. I thought for sure it would be the fix (described symptom to a tee in tsb). Replaced accumulator yesterday and made absolutely NO difference. Are there any trany guys or anyone else for that matter that can shed some light on my issue with car? 97 crown vic lx 4.6 ...... no comp codes and everything seems normal looking thru Modis.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Bob in sc. Thanks in advance
