1970 Lincoln Continental - Parts Info?

Post by nickscarcare »

I was wondering if anyone has any old parts books out there. I am trying to find a fuel sending unit for this lincoln, it has the low fuel warning light. I have been finding some for the Mark 8, but the guy isn't sure if they are the same.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

1970 would be a Continental Mark III so the Mark 8 is light years off.

I have older Hollander parts interchange books but this was not a part type they covered. You'd be fairly safe comparing 1969-70 Ford, Mercury full-size or Lincoln units. I'd start googling for Ford parts expert sites, perhaps you'll get lucky and find NOS (NEW old stock) sitting out there waiting for you.

Sorry I meant mark 3. i found a place in NY that rebuilds the one you have. Hopefully they are a reputable place, they were helpful when I spoke with them, so that is my option. :D

That's probably the best way to go, since the part is scarce.
