What is the "output driver module"? I want to assume it is the PCM or a component within the PCM but no other reference is made to it except in the DTC Chart. P1640--Output Driver Module "A" Fault.

I need some direction please.

The reference is to the driver within the PCM, not an external component. I believe 1640 refers to the driver for the canister purge solenoid.
