2003 Jaguar X-Type - 2.5L Engine Interchange

Will a 3.0L long block work? Only difference i found was compression ratio.

i had one in here a while ago and although it looked like a ford block would fit there were subtle differences starting at the bolt pattern of the transmission.
never argue with a fool, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
