We have an 01 eclipse in the shop throwing a p0300 random misfire. Car came from another shop, they repaced the MAF, O2s, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, distributor. When this problem occurs the fuel pressure is good, o2s go to 0v, the fuel trim short and long go to 0%, and it goes into open loop. We installed a new timing belt and tensioner. We have scoped the injectors when it does this and the pattern looks good. Any thoughts or ideals would be greatfully appreceated.
Thanks Tom

Re: 01 Mits eclipse spyder P0300
i would look into a crank shaft sensor or e.g.r. issue. there is a detailed diagnostic flow on this the also mentions a failed injector driver circuit. i can't copy and e mail it but i can print and fax if you need it. if you need it call the shop, don't know when i'll be back in the forum.
never argue with a fool, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
