2003 Ford Windstar - 3.8L P0171 / P0174

Post by nickscarcare »

I have a 03 windstar 3.8 vin 4 with codes p0171, p0174. I checked and it is leaking at the imrc rods where they go into the intake, is there parts available to fix this or is it buy a new, or hopefully get a good used intake? Priced new from the dealer and better off buying a new vehicle!!! HA HA.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

replace it, i've tinkered around with these and was never successful. plan on a little collateral damage. on these jobs i usually warn the customer that there may be breakage.

Guess I won't have to worry about it. How come when you are nice to people some of them think they can just stab you in the back? I put in a wheel bearing, customer parts on this one, he had started the job and couldn't get some of the bolts loose, had them rounded. So I do it for him, then spend another 45 minutes checking an oil leak for him and doing the diagnostic on the check engine light, and now this guy is going around town saying I'm a rip off, charged him too much. Telling everyone not to bring his car here. Found out from other shops that he has done the same to them. he is not allowed in other shops around town. He thinks he is a mechanic. I did all that work for under $125!!!!! Don't think I was too expensive!!!
