IMPORTANT: Save Layout | Export to file on your hard drive

It is strongly recommended that you create a file on your hard drive to save any customized reports because if you later decide to share that report with another person by Deploying the report and that person deletes the report, you will no longer see the report moving forward. It is gone! So always after customizing a report Export the report to a file you created on your hard drive then you can deploy the report. This way you will have a backup of the customized report if it is inadvertently deleted by someone you deployed it to!

To Export report:
Go to Reports on the home ribbon | My Reports | Search for customized report | go to Layout on the ribbon | click the drop down arrow to select Export Layout | browse to the file you created on your hard drive and Save.

To Import saved report:
Go to Reports from the home ribbon | Click Open on the top left corner of ribbon | change the file ext. from Protractor Report Data (*rdata) to Report Layout File (*xml) | browse for the saved report on your hard drive | The report name will revert back to the name of the original report name so when you go to Layout drop down arrow on the ribbon | Save Layout | re-enter the name of report and save parameters and you are good to go!

This is also advised to do for your Dashboard pages as well!
