I do a lot of alignments. With VW, you need the suspension code and the wheel code. The suspension code is easy as it is included on the build tag usually in the spare wheel well. The wheel code is a different story. On a few I found the code right on the wheel, but usually not. Does anyone have a good source for easy reference? We have been contacting the dealer and having the build sheet faxed over (usually 6 pages) and then hunt for the info. This has been too time consuming. I need an easier way.
TIA
Ric

Re: VW Wheel Codes
Man, that's a kicker especially if someone replaces O.E.M. Wish I could help but I wouldn't know where to begin with the exception of getting real friendly with my V.W. parts manager.
never argue with a fool, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

Re: VW Wheel Codes
Well that's a start!
The wheel id's I typically get are ET37, ET40, ET45, etc. I don't see that listed there, but thanks for the link!!
Did you do a SEARCH for that? LOL.

Re: VW Wheel Codes
Well.....yes I did~! Do I get an extra "coin" for being good? Since the new forum came out I seem to be able to search better. Now I hope Tim doesnt jump right in and tell me that nothing in search changed, cuz then i will be VERY confused.ricmorin wrote:Well that's a start!

By the way any wheel that starts with an "ET" is a bicycle wheel. I think they are 32 spoke 18 inch if i remember correctly. Here is a photo:

By the way this bike is a single speed NOT a fixie. So no need to run out and buy one. Fixies are "in" singles are not.
