1998 Olds 88 - Lean With P0171

Post by santiago »

[some help please]

I have a 1998 Olds 88 and I have a lean condition PO171. I replaced intake gasket, repaired exhaust leak, replaced both O2 sensors, replace thermostat, flash ECM and I still have the same code.

Hey! Welcome to the Forum. If you share as much info as possible on the issue yer havin, you'll be findin help from various ones of us.

On the car ; didnt they have some mass air flow issues? Or perhaps there is unmetered air getting into the system - a leaking air intake tube. Have seen that already.

i'm not absolutely sure here but i believe these intakes would develop leaks in the egr port causing this issue.
never argue with a fool, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
