got a problem maybe you can help with....have a 2000 avalon with a 3.0
upon start up...it has 190psi of compression but after warm up drop to 40psi on each cyl. any ideas??

I'd do a pressure differential test when warm. That should show you where the leak is. From the sounds of it, it should be easy to spot.

what was done right before this happened? going out on a limb here i'm thinking a vvt issue. was the t belt just done?

what weight of oil is being used? I have seen this same thing in another engine when the wrong weight of oil was used.

put new vvt sensors in...changed oil to correct weight...another shop put on new belt but seems to be installed right. was thinking the motor might just be worn out...lol...seems odd that cold its high compression and warm all cyl drop to same 40lbs

was the issue present prior to the belt replacement? does it die when warm? may be valves floating.
