NAPA ProLink In SE?

Post by ARS »

We are wondering if Mitchell 6.4 is going to incorporate the NAPA PRO LINK web site for parts look-up & estimator for labor any time soon? The NAPA Pro Link has the Mitchell quick labor look up. It really would save us time to go to one place to look up parts & labor. Our IWI (AcDelco) already does have parts & labor on one sight & the ability to transfer the information right into a ticket.
Also NAPA Pro link is able to look up where the parts are in the different warehouses. The NAPA look up we have now is only able to see the local & DC. There is a warehouse in between those two that we are unable to see, which causes us to have to call the NAPA Store to see part availability. This has been a pain.

We try to use the current NAPA look-up because it will transfer right into an estimate, so we do not have to hand-write or re-type estimates.

Our Version is Manager Plus SU 6.4.521.

Briefly, we developed a new catalog viewer that was very fast because it was accessing the Pro Link parts only. Please note that parts & labor are a sub-set of ProLink which offers all manner of content beyond that which our management software would slow down to wade through or ignore.

Having said that, there is a project related to expanding our current ProLink interface, I do not have details at this time.

Just a quick update that I did see a working prototype of the NAPA ProLink catalog interface while in the office this week. It definitely incorporates more elements of ProLink but clearly not all of them. Still things to test and fix, it is a work in progress now.
