"Order Message" Not On Parts Ordering Screen?

ATTENTION MODERATOR:

We have customers that used the "Order Message" box that was on parts ordering screen in version 6.4.

I was told it was removed from version 6.5 because not all WDs supported it, but we do.

Tom I am on 6.5.49 and I still have that mssg line. May need to call tech or someone else may chime in. Jeff.

I have customer on 6.5.47 that field is missing.

I was just on with support and they told me it was removed from 6.5 completely. So not sure why they didn't say it was added back in on 6.5.49. I'll try to upgrade to that version myself and verify field is back again.

Thank you for posting that pic. I was told to wait for update discs to be mailed in order to upgrade my system. But now I can at least inform my customer to get upgrade and field will come back.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting.

Updates are now handled across the internet by AutoUpdater when the user is on Manager SE 6.5.20 or newer version. (all SE 6.5)

I have that box on some of my suppliers, others it is not their. IE:

Advance (activant) has message option
Auto Value No message option
Napa (napa PROlink) no message
Binney (carquest weblink) has message option

I use the message option every time I order from carquest, i have never not seen it.

Rich is exactly right, some vendors support that field, and some do not.

It would be great if all vendors supported that field, but MOST importantly, if we could get them to READ it when we input information in there

Sorry I didnt check close enough. I dont have it on NAPA either. And yes it would be nice if the vendors could read!

Oh believe me - we have! If we order online - we should not have to follow up with a phone call to ask them to please bring the parts ASAP as we indicated on the order........
